When PSG activated their buy back clause for Xavi Simmons, they did so with the intention of making sure that they keep one of the most talented and up and coming youngsters in world football today. After a stunning season with PSV Eindhoven last season scoring 19 goals, many were a bit surprised by the decision to let him to go to Leipzig on loan for this season and that they did not put him directly into the first team, but so far this decision has proven to be a masterstroke by the Parisians, with Simmons lighting up the Bundesliga. Simmons has already scored 3 goals and assisted 4 for Leipzig and one of his former clubs Barcelona looking for a reunion after impressing Barca boss Xavi Hernandez. During the Summer transfer window it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Arsenal had a great interest in signing Simmons after he impressed Arteta during the Europa League group stage encounters between PSV and Arsenal. However despite the oncoming interest from other clubs, PSG remain committed to making Simmons a main stay from nect season onwards and have no plans to sell the 20 year old.
